Almost.at uses text, photos, videos and links from sites including Twitter and Flickr to show as-it-happens coverage of everything from concerts to conferences to breaking news stories.

Almost.at Features and Looks

The website is built on the Cappuccino web framework.

The interface looks somewhat different from traditional sites. It has 3 vertical panels - 1st shows Twitter updates, 2nd shows Videos & photos and 3rd shows information collected from other online sources.

The best part of the website is there is no need to manually refresh the content. The service pulles the latest content in almost every 10 seconds. You can also use a timeline at the bottom of the page to browse through the history of an event.

You can even add your twitter username to the ongoing event, so that others can see and follow you. There is also an option to download a standalone Almost.at browser for OS X.
