OurShelf is an online platform which helps you catalog your personal goods and share them with you friends.

It lets you group around items within a social environment. You can borrow, lend, and track your personal goods. You can even socially shop items you’re interested in through this platform.
How OurShelf Works ?
To get started, sign up for an account, search for an item you own. After this their search engine will automatically look for authors, creators, titles, ISBNs, UPCs, and general keywords. When you find the item you want in the search results, click the “Add to shelf” button.
You can even import your own item on this platform.
Additionally, you can create labels for your items to help you organize them. Like Gmail labels, items can have multiple labels at a time, so if you want to organize your items by genre and type of object, you can do that.
OurShelf Features
OurShelf allows you to do several things: organize and keep track of your items, share your item lists with others and even lend them out if you like. It even helps you find new items you might like and network with others who own them or share your interests.
To request to borrow a friend’s item, view their shelf, hover over the item of interest, Select the Ownership tab from the pop-up dialog, and click the button to “Request to borrow this.”
OurShelf has the ability to not only create groups with people that share a common interest, but offers a group shelf for rich interaction with the items you love. You can also use a group to socially shop, treating the group shelf like shopping cart.
OurShelf’s “Foxy Shelf”
OurShelf also offers a Firefox extension called Foxy Shelf that allows you to catalog items as you browse them at Amazon. If you know Amazon sells an item that you own, or you’d like to add your Amazon order history to your shelf, you can use Foxy Shelf to add items quickly and easily.
