Emote is a new microblogging service that lets you share messages within your network and public. It seems to accommodate all the features that you might find in their role model site Twitter.com.
The website looks pretty neat, but lacks attractiveness. It needs to be worked upon from design perspective.
One of the features that interested us was the Groups feature, which though replicates Lists in Twitter, but is certainly a feature that can help people share thoughts on similar things.
