BusinessPitara - Platform to Find New Business Ideas, Opportunities and Resources
Posted by ilovegajeebo in startups on June 1st, 2009

BusinessPitara is a resource platform for entrepreneurs and business people. It provides information on new business ideas, prospects, investors and funding options.
The site is really simple to use and navigate. The looks are also decent from a startup website perspective. The website though lacks an initial database which should be required to have a good feel about the website.
Overall the website is good but will require a major push in marketing to come anywhere close to what is called a successful website on web.
84Ideas - A Social Media Advertising and Web Consultancy firm
Posted by ilovegajeebo in Daily Featured Websites on March 2nd, 2009

We posted a social media advertising firm sometime back, and today again we are posting 84ideas, another social media advertising firm.
This itself states the growing importance of advertising of this form on web.
Although 84ideas has decent portfolio of clients, there is one thing that worries us. We did some research on 84ideas and couldn’t track their presence on very famous social networks as Ning and Bebo, which itselfs put some doubt in our minds.

Telonu - Reviews, Ratings, Comments on Companies, Jobs, Layoffs, Schools and Celebrities
Benefits of Using telOnu?
Right now, the bleak economic climate is leading to lots of layoffs, and many laid off employees are giving their two cents. This is good information for potential future employees, because you can tell a lot about how a company operates based on how they handle layoffs.
Telonu allows you to post reviews about a company you currently work for, previously worked for, or wished you worked for.
All Reviews or comments focus on the various aspects of the workplace itself, like pay and benefits, work/home life balance and career growth potential.
How do I sign up for Telonu?
When you register with Telonu, you are asked for your full name and to pick a separate username. When you post a “Tell” or add a comment, you can choose to either use your name, your username or to post anonymously. Your name and username are never linked, so if you want to respond to something, but don’t want to reveal your identity, you’re covered.
You can also mingle with other ‘Tellers’ and ask questions about organizations and people that you need to know about.
Some cool features from Telonu
The Watercooler and Stock section are pretty interesting, here you can read or discuss company gossip — like are more layoffs coming, are things looking better — and also discuss the stock price and whether or not this is a good time to buy or sell.
The Ask area lets potential employees ask questions and current or former employees can chip-in an answer. Because everything is anonymous, the value of the information is going to be subjective and may be taken with some skepticism.
There’s also a bunch of cool tools on their site that come in very handy when you connect with friends on Telonu.
