Massachusetts based Punchbowl Software is behind MyPunchbowl, an event planning web application.

MyPunchbowl has made setting a date much easier through the help of an algorithm that recommends the best date for your party. Invitees are sent a “Pick-A-Date” email that allows them to select the best date for them from a set of dates supplied by the host, MyPunchbowl will then recommend the optimal date in real-time giving preference to the host and important guests.

MyPunchBowl also have International support, so those users in Canada, Europe and Asia can add phone numbers and addresses as well, and the Google maps will reflect their International support too. Each events have a public URL, so anyone can add their name to your guest list, and they have incorporated the ability for guests to indicate how many people they’ll be bringing along.

Equally important, users have the ability to reuse their guest lists from a previous event, and a confirmation email will be sent out after you complete your invite, so you know for certain that everyone will receive your email about your party.

Furthermore, the site also allows you to set up message boards and integrate Google Maps’ to display the location. After the party’s over and you’ve cleaned up the spilled wine, MyPunchbowl lets you create an after-party message board where attendees can share comments, photos, and videos. The after-party stage will allow comments, ratings and recommendations.

MyPunchbowl has just launched a new service for free eCards, allowing users to send customized greeting cards using its impressive card editor. Users will be able to choose from an array of holiday, birthday, and thank you cards, which they can embellish with family photos and a number of text effects.
