BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) unveiled new server that will allow its smart phone users to wirelessly access their work or corporate email “without compromising security”.
The software will offer economical advantages to small and mid-sized businesses seeking enterprise-grade security and manageability of (its higher end) BlackBerry Enterprise Server without requiring all of its advanced features.

Facebook is planning to launch a size-zero text-only mobile site version of m.facebook.com dubbed as Zero.
Aimed at mobile Internet users with low bandwidth connection, Facebook Zero would be a completely stripped down version of Facebook Mobile site. The Facebook Zero would be a lighter version and won’t include photos that are data intensive.

Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has launched Airtel App Central, a mobile applications store that will allow Airtel mobile customers to access over 1250 apps across 25 categories for their business, games, books, social networking and other needs.
These apps would be available for download on more than 550 compatible devices.

Tanla Launches InTune Tool - Judge Singers at Auditions

Mobile VAS firm Tanla Solutions has launched InTune, an application that can be used to judge singers at auditions.
InTune uses a voice analysis algorithm for which the company has filed a patent. The algorithm can continuously track and evaluate four parameters of a song: pitch, tempo, expression/modulation and it also conducts an intrinsic note matching.
