Google Inc. has bought Aardvark, a free question-and-answer Web service for $50 million.
Aardvark was formed in 2007 by Horowitz and three others - two of whom are former Google employees. It lets users ask questions online that are routed to friends and friends of friends. The goal is to get relevant answers on any topic as quickly as possible.

US-based AirMe has launched PhotoWall, an online photo sharing service that allows users to upload pictures from mobile phones, tag them and send to their Flickr or Facebook accounts.
AirMe has signed an agreement with Microsoft to promote PhotoWall in India and also manage advertising sales on a co-branded site MSN.PhotoWall.com.

iLike, which launched in 2006, with over 50 million registered users, is the top music application on Facebook, with nearly 10 million using the tool a month.
